Dr. Uche Angela Makolo is an Associate Professor in the department of Computer Science, University of Ibadan. Nigeria. She worked in the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) for 14 years in various Information Technology (IT) roles until she resigned in 2009 as the Head of the Software Unit.
Dr. Uche Angela Makolo earned M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Ibadan with a specialization in Bioinformatics. She completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, MIT, USA under the Empowering the Teachers Fellowship (MIT-ETT) for outstanding young academics in Africa. The MIT-ETT post-doc fellowship provided participants with best practices in pedagogical methods and independent research investigators capable of promoting in-country science and technology research and education capacity.
In 2013, Dr. Uche Angela Makolo completed the TechWomen emerging Leader Fellowship to Silicon Valley. TechWoman is an initiative of the United States Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. TechWomen empowers, connects and supports the next generation of women leaders in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) from Africa, Central and South Asia, and the Middle East by providing them the access and opportunity needed to advance their careers, pursue their dreams, and inspire women and girls in their communities. After the fellowship, she established Techmadel, a mentoring platform for girls in STEM.
Dr. Uche Angela Makolo is the Lead for the University of Ibadan Bioinformatics Group. In this capacity she provides leadership roles for funded projects including the University of Ibadan Bioinformatics Group (UIBG) Node of the NIH H3Africa Bioinformatics Network (H3ABioNet) and the TERTIARY EDUCATION TRUST FUND (TETFund) Bioinformatics Projects. Her areas of specialization includes Bioinformatics and Computational Biology, Machine Learning, Data Science and Software Engineering. She has successfully supervised the several PhD students, who have proceeded to post-doctoral research. She has extensive experience with supervising research projects of postgraduate and undergraduate students. She has disseminated her research in scholarly journals and at professional conferences. She is an adjunct faculty at Pan-Atlantic University, Lagos Nigeria

Junell McCall is the President and Founder of JLM Educational Consulting Services. She has worked in education for over 20 years providing in-person and virtual classroom instruction, academic and career counseling, admissions assistance, and educational consulting. She has served as a mentor to girls for over 25 years and specializes in self-efficacy. She is known as the inner voice of success for girls and created the Confidence Building Academy for Girls that shapes and builds their confidence. She believes that all learners can learn if they believe in themselves.
Junell is the Chief Learning Officer for adventure-based learning and is very adept at differentiating instruction to ensure that all learners grasp the concepts being taught. She adapts curricula to meet the needs of each learner as she understands that each individual is unique and therefore needs to be instructed in a unique manner.

I always wanted to experience what it’s like to coordinate a learning process. So, after my first degree in Computer Science at the University of Ibadan, I was excited to be posted to a school to teach Information Technology, for my youth service. This charted my path for a few years and in those years, I’ve had the privilege to teach and mentor young girls and boys, some of whom are now undergraduates in different universities.
As a computer scientist, I am drawn to cyber security. My passion about tech made me hop on the Techmadel project and it sure will be fun here! I am also passionate about online marketing and business where I am currently building my personal business and brand.

Ofure is a second-year Masters student at Stanford University, California, where she is studying for a Masters in Computer Science with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence. She has taken a keen interest in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and its application in Conversational Virtual Assistants. She completed her internship with Amazon where she worked with the Alexa Video team on Video recommendations.
She earned her bachelors degree from the prestigious University of Ibadan(UI) where she studied computer science and made history as the first female to graduate with a perfect CGPA(7.0/7.0) in the 71-year existence of the institution.
In her free time, she loves to cook, read, decorate, listen to podcasts, host parties, and gym. As a long-term goal, she is invested in helping younger girls gain the confidence they need to thrive academically, as well as in their chosen careers

My name is Ogonna Rosemary Audrey Ezeonyedika and I am a software engineer with a passion for creating dynamic, user-friendly web applications and exploring the capabilities of artificial intelligence. I have experience scripting with Django, Vue.js, HTML, and JavaScript, and have also gained expertise in AI development.
In my previous roles, I have worked on projects ranging from small business websites to large-scale e-commerce platforms, and have also contributed to the development of AI-powered solutions. I have a strong attention to detail and am always striving to improve my skills and stay up-to-date with the latest trends in web development and AI.
Outside of work, I enjoy staying active and exploring new technologies. I am always looking for new opportunities to learn and grow as a developer, and I am excited to see where my career takes me next. I am excited to be part of the techmadel project
